Yes. In order to give your church or organization a proper headcount for the event, every attendee must register online. Before the retreat, we will send tickets, digital programs, and event details to each person who registers. After the event every attendee will gain access to the videos and talks from the conference.
No. Over the past ten years of hosting conferences, we’ve learned that people are more likely to attend if they invest financially in the event. We hope to provide a great experience for your church and an event that attendees value. To remain consistent, every host site must have their attendees register online and pay the $30 registration fee. If you’re interested in giving back to your attendees, consider providing lunch and event day materials or resources with the proceeds from the registration fee.
There’s no host license fee for hosts with active RightNow Media Subscriptions. Attendee registration will be $30. $15 of the $30 fee will go to RightNow Media to cover program and event costs, while the rest goes directly to the host site. We know that when people pay to attend an event, they are more likely to show up, so we are setting registration at a low price to keep attendee headcounts accurate. The proceeds that go to you will also help you offset any hosting expenses.
Registration for attendees opens February 5, 2020.
No. We will only use the personal information of attendees to communicate important information about the event and if attendees indicate they would like to be contacted about RightNow Media and RightNow Media @ Work.Prior to the Retreat, we will email each attendee a digital program including the schedule for the event itself. We will also follow up with attendees after the Retreat to make sure they receive copies of the talks delivered through the simulcast. In addition, each attendee’s host site will have limited access to their information to communicate event day details.
Within thirty days following the event, we will mail a check to each host site with its proceeds for the event. Please ensure that in your host site application you provide a valid mailing address in order to expedite the reimbursement process.
In the days leading up to the Retreat, you will have access to your list of attendees names and emails through your Concierge Portal for the purpose of communicating with attendees before the event.
All attendees—domestic or international—will be charged in the amount of $30 USD. Credit card companies will account for the exchange rate, which will be reflected on the individual’s billing statement, like other international transactions.
We are designing this experience for churches and organizations of all sizes. Last year our average host site attendance was 10-15 attendees per location. We believe success to be less about size and more about how God uses the event to inspire local business professionals to work with their faith in mind. Work as Worship is a discipleship opportunity where businesspeople may approach their church saying, “I want to grow in my faith!” The value of such an opportunity can’t be overstated.
No. You only need an internet connection of 5-10 Mbps and a screen to display the video. Our team will work with you to answer technical questions and address any issues you may encounter.

We are looking for people to champion the retreat at their church. Ultimately a pastor or staff member at the church will need to approve participation in the event, use of the church building, and any other logistics, but anyone can sign up the church and lead the event.
We are looking for people to champion the retreat at their organization.Ultimately a business leader or decision maker at an organization will need toapprove participation in the event, host site location, and any otherlogistics, but anyone can sign up the organization and lead the event.
Yes. There will be a built-in lunch break that will likely be about an hour long. The exact length will be confirmed closer to the event. Host sites will have the option to tell attendees to bring or grab lunch at a local restaurant or coordinate lunch for everyone at the church.
Yes. It is highly recommended that host sites coordinate lunch if possible, using the proceeds from attendee registration. We suggest keeping it simple with food that’s easy to order and distribute (such as boxed lunches or pizza). In the days prior to the event, we will send final attendee registration updates so you can have an idea of the headcount.
Yes. Previously, host sites have used the lunch hour to bring in local speakers, have a leader share about the faith and work topic, hold a panel discussion, or have breakout groups at lunch tables to discuss the event material.
Yes. Each host will be assigned a Work as WorshipSpecialist that will periodically reach out to registered hosts with event updates as the Retreat gets closer. Hosts that provide multiple methods of contact for these updates will help ensure their event is a success. TheSpecialist will also be available for any questions or emergencies that may arise. We will offer guidance in the following areas:
• Event Details – What you need to know about the 2020 Work as Worship Retreat.
• Technical Details – How to stream the content and test equipment before the event.

Speaker topics and message titles will be posted on the website schedule as soon as possible.
For the past eight years, we’ve hosted the Work as Worship Retreat locally in Dallas. During that time, we found that Friday results in a better turnout as attendees tend to have fewer scheduling conflicts.
Yes. Work as Worship Retreat sessions will be made available on RightNow Media and RightNow Media @ Work in the weeks following the live event.
Yes. We will provide a few different opportunities for you to test the live stream. This information will be discussed in detail with your Work as Worship Specialist. You can easily determine whether you meet the 5-10 Mbps standard by testing your internet speed at the following link: www.speedtest.net.
In the event of a weather emergency, we will email a secure link to registered attendees that will allow them to view the simulcast from their home or mobile devices.
Performing the suggested tech tests will go a long way toward preventing any buffering issues. If the stream does experience buffering or needs to be reloaded, it will automatically resume to the “live” timing of the event. However, the software we use functions like a DVR and can be paused, replayed, rewound, and moved forward. This will prevent you from missing any of the content during the event.
Most high-speed internet connections will be able to support the simulcast. You don’t need to have state-of-the-art facilities. If you can stream videos from a service like RightNow Media or Netflix without interruption, there’s a good chance the simulcast will work just the same. However, we still suggest verifying your internet service capabilities and any data caps that might be in place at your host site. The recommended download speed is 5-10 Mbps for the highest video quality. You should also take into account that your internet bandwidth is probably shared throughout your facility.
Allowing attendees to use your Wifi or streaming other videos throughout the building can slow down your internet speed. We recommend asking people to stay off Wifi during the conference or making sure you have enough bandwidth for both the simulcast and attendees using the facility’s Wifi.
Yes. We will have a Work as Worship Specialist assigned to your church and an event day support team available to help walk you through any issues. Performing the suggested tech tests ahead of time will help reduce any technical headaches that could arise during the event.
